Automatic Counting of Fruit and Vegetable Crates
The system counts crates of apples and tomatoes and sacks of onions and potatoes from camera video, on conveyors and during loading. The report shows how much produce went into cold storage, how much went through sorting and how much left on trucks. Any disputed moment stays on video.

Example Where Losses Happen
- In season, thousands of crates go in and out of cold storage every day, and handwritten counts often don't match the waybill.
- During loading, a few crates go out unrecorded or extra ones get loaded, and the loss only shows up at the next stock count, when it's too late.
- Without an exact count on the sorting line, it's hard to plan sales for each grade.
What We Count
- Fruit and vegetable crates going into and out of cold storage: apples, tomatoes and other produce.
- Crates by grade on the sorting line.
- Onion and potato sacks during packing and loading.
- Crates loaded onto trucks for sale and export.
What the System Does
Crates and sacks
Plastic and wooden crates and mesh sacks are counted on conveyors and during loading.
Each product separately
Every product type is counted separately, and we add a new one remotely within 1–2 days.
Video proof
Every number is backed by video, so a dispute between the warehouse and a driver or buyer can be checked on the recording.
Works with your cameras
The security cameras already in your warehouse are often enough; we install new ones when needed.
Where the Camera Goes
- The camera is mounted above the conveyor, the warehouse door or the loading area.
- In cold storage, we choose a camera rated for cold and humidity and fit it in a protective housing.
- We choose the mounting point and angle from your video.
Good to Know
- We don't count crates stacked on a pallet in a single frame, because the lower rows can't be seen. Counting happens while crates move on a conveyor or are loaded one by one.
- If crates are moved in stacks on a trolley, we first check on your video whether they can be counted.
- In cold storage, the lens can fog up, so it needs wiping from time to time.
Questions and Answers
Can it count different varieties separately?
Varieties that look different, such as red and yellow apples, can be counted separately. For your produce, we check this on your video first.
Does the camera work in cold storage?
Yes. We choose a camera rated for cold and humidity and fit it in a protective housing.
What camera do I need?
An existing IP camera is often enough. We choose the mounting point and angle from your video, and install a new camera if needed.
How can I try it for free?
Send a 30-second video of your conveyor or loading area on WhatsApp, and we'll show you how the system counts your crates.
